NEW PATIENTS
Finding a new dental office can be daunting. Our team is dedicated to caring for you with the utmost excellence and making sure you feel cared for like family the first time you visit the office. We will talk to you about your concerns and address them as best we can.
WHAT TO EXPECT
When new patients enter our office, they can expect to enter into a warm and welcoming environment. We have a small, close knit team and the community that we have amongst one another allows us to make patients feel the same way. Laura and Tammy greet patients at the front desk and gather patient information, which includes a health history. This history gives the patient a chance to share previous oral health and medical history and relay any concerns or questions that he or she might have.
The first visit is usually with Kim or Kristy for a cleaning, x-rays, and exam by either Dr. Kennedy or Dr. Upperman; or the first visit may be to directly address a particular problem or need. We listen to the patient’s concerns, history, needs, or whatever else they’d like to share. We then come up with a plan or treatment that best suits the oral health needs of that particular person. We aim to fix any immediate problems a patient might have same day to get them out of pain or discomfort.

COMMON FAQS
Oral health is incredibly important for eliminating harmful bacteria in the mouth. If not properly cleaned and taken care of, bacteria can accumulate and have harmful, lasting effects. Although some may believe that at-home oral health care is enough, regular dental cleanings help maintain proper oral hygiene that will prevent serious problems such as inflammation, infection, decay and other health complications.
One of the best ways to prepare for a dental exam is to properly care for your oral health on a day to day basis. We recommend brushing your teeth at least twice and flossing once every day. In addition to keeping up with daily oral hygiene, brushing your teeth before your appointment helps to remove as much plaque as possible so we can focus on more urgent areas. For an easy, quick visit, it also helps to have your medical history and insurance coverage ready! Make sure to be honest about your current dental care methods as it is best to be honest so we know how to accurately improve your oral health!
Appointments can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the patient’s oral health. Our team is dedicated to thorough cleanings and examinations because we want to provide you with the utmost care. Although you are coming in for a cleaning, we also check your gums for any infection or disease and your teeth for cavities. We also keep up with regular X-rays that help our dentists be able to better serve you and give you the best care possible!
Yes! We are always accepting new patients to join our dental family! We look forward to working with new patients to help them maintain excellent oral health!
